Pandemic Planning results in a beautiful rag rug

During lockdown, many of our members carried on working at home, producing spun yarn or beautifully woven articles. For one of our members,this wasn’t possible, as he had just started setting up to weave a rag rug on our vertical rug loom, which you can see behind David in the image. Instead he spent time cutting up old shirts, curtains and anything else he could find, ready to weave his rug.

David took the rug off the loom last week, and has now finished the edges. We are sure you will agree that it looks really wonderful; it has already been promised to a friend.
